How to get to Capri


      Arriving by train

Napoli Centrale Train Station (or Piazza Garibaldi): tram number 1 can be taken to Piazza Municipio.
Across the street, on the left-hand side of the road is the port, Molo Beverello where the boats leaving for Capri dock.
At the train station there is also a taxi stand (driver must activate meter).


      Arriving by airplane

Capodichino airport: taxi stand outside of terminal (driver must activate meter), buses to Piazza Municipio (across from the Molo Beverello harbor where boats leaving for Capri dock).

      Arriving by car

Upon entering Naples, stay on the highway and follow signs for "Porto" and "Zona Portuale", take "Zona Portuale" exit and stay on the Via Marina until you reach Piazza Municipio.
Across the road is the Molo Beverello. It is not recommended that you bring a car onto the island. The roads are extremely narrow and difficult to manage.
Parking is scarce throughout the island.
It is recommended that the car be left in Naples. There are a several car-parks in the port area.

      On Capri

At the Marina Grande port, there is a taxi stand (ask driver for rates). Buses to Capri and Anacapri leave often from the stop near the ticket offices.
A cable car (funicolare) reaches the main square of Capri from the port.
From the town of Capri, you can take a bus or taxi to reach the town of Anacapri.
